The Elk Grove Area Aquatics Sports Foundation is a non-profit organization working to raise funds to help keep Elk Grove area high school aquatic sports in the years to come. Coaches, parents and swimmers have come together to organize events, find sponsors and build a membership base by creating awareness. We successfully held a waterpolo tournament last October and a swim fundraiser in April. We are currently working on a swim meet this fall and our second annual waterpolo tournament.
With nine swim teams and four water polo teams, Elk Grove area high school aquatics has over 500 athletes. Most of these athletes participate in community swim teams, are our community lifeguards and swim instructors, many come back to coach our schools and swim programs. We are working to make sure each athlete who wants to compete at the high school level not only has the opportunity but the funding to do so.
